Our Qahwa Espresso is a unique Robusta coffee from India. Kaapi Royale A is a distinguished specialty-grade coffee that showcases the exceptional quality and heritage of India’s finest Robusta beans. By applying specialty-grade standards to Robusta, Indian coffee producers have created a unique market niche that appeals to espresso enthusiasts and coffee professionals who appreciate Robusta’s distinctive characteristics. Grown in the shaded plantations of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, this coffee embodies the craftsmanship, care, and precision that define India’s premium estates. Cultivated at elevations between 1,000 and 1,400 metres, the beans develop under a rich canopy of native forest trees that provide natural shade and biodiversity. Well-drained soils, gentle monsoon rains, and a cool mountain climate contribute to a dense bean structure and remarkable cup quality. Each batch undergoes Indian Parchment processing and only large (screen 17 and above), clean and uniform beans are selected. In the cup, Kaapi Royale delivers a bold, full-bodied profile with a thick crema, clear sweetness and notes of dark chocolate. Be cautious about an at least double caffeine content compared to arabica beans.
